The worlds biggest fast food chain contacted Commercial heating of Manchester to install a new commercial hot water system. The existing hot water system was out dated and having endless issues including breaking down and dripping into the customer area below.
We like nothing more than a nice hot McDonalds breakfast before a busy day of installing, repairing and maintaining Manchester's commercial heating systems, so it was a great opportunity to work on our favourite fast food restaurant, and this one in Bolton town centre was in need of our help.
As with any public building and most importantly a food chain it was essential to install a reliable hot water system that could be regulated at the outlets. The decision was made to install a new direct fired hot water system to ensure the fast food chain would never run out of hot water.
The existing tank was drained down in the early hours of the morning and removed to allow for the new appliance to be fitted. The new heater was installed, piped up and was all up and running before the first set of customers turned up at 6am for breakfast. A team of 4 engineers were put on the installation to ensure the project didn’t over run into opening hours of the restaurant.
Restaurant manager Lee: “Thanks for a great and speedy job, just the sort of company we can rely on”
An ultra modern wireless heating system has been installed by our team of commercial heating engineers at The Salafi Centre mosque in Manchester.
The mosque contacted the Commercial Heating Specialists and tasked us with the job of updating their old and failing heating system. There was a lot of work to be completed, including the replacement of old boilers, water pipes and even the gas pipes which fuelled the entire system. Once our engineers assessed the building and the owners' requirements, we suggested a zoned heating system, because some areas of the mosque were used more than others. As with any traditional religious building of this type, it was split in half, one side for men, and one for women.
After installing two new boilers for each side of the building and running new pipework throughout, it was time to tackle the most important issue. Using state of the art technology, the heating system can be controlled wirelessly using Nest's latest digital control unit. This also allowed independent heating of the two zones, and because of the lower usage time of the women's section, an automatic sensor was installed, so that the heating only came on when the room was occupied. The system is activated as soon as someone enters the room, meaning there is no wasted heat, saving energy and money.
With the new system, hot water is made available immediately, and therefor the need to store hot water is removed. This saves a lot of money, and means expensive immersion systems and insulated extra tanks are not required.
The mosque owners are delighted with their new system: "Alhamdulilaah our heating systems are being updated. This saves us money in the long term, and also makes it much more convenient for those who attend. Jazaakumallahukhair to all who have contributed, indeed with Allah is the best of rewards"
Charles House is a large and impressive multi story office block in Manchester. The managers of the Eccles based property contacted the number one commercial heating business in the North West with the challenge of heating their office. The current boilers was situated on the roof and no other company had the know-how of how to undertake the such a large operation.
Collaboration with all departments was the key to success on this job, and a plan was drawn up by the company directors and our estimating team, The existing commercial boilers was broken into sections and craned down during the weekend. At the same time the sections of a new commercial boiler would be lifted up and into position were they was then carried and re-built in place.
The breakdown of the old boilers and re-build of the new took just 4 days including the weekend so that there was limited “heating off” time and the hundreds of office staff were not affected.
Our own in house commercial gas and electrical engineers then started to connect all the existing pipes and controls allowing the system to all run as before, but this time more efficiently, reliably and cheaply.
The building management team, owners and directors were delighted with our work, and gave praise to our commercial heating engineers who all did an excellent job.
MD John Carter - “A very smooth and stressful free transition from the old to new system. No staff complaints which is always a bonus”
